When joining a company to get TV, modelling or photographic work, be careful:

1. Make sure the company has an office which you are free to visit (it should be a decent venue in a good location) as well as a fixed-line phone number, not a mobile.

2. The company should not guarantee to get you work – there are never any guarantees.

3. Do not go with a company who insists on ‘model training’, or which holds castings and interviews in hotels.

4. If you are unsure about joining any service or agency contact ‘Alba’, the UK’s only independent modelling advice service.
